Getting Started

You may apply for your provisional car license 2 months before your 17th birthday, but you must not drive untill it comes into effect.  You will need to fill in an application for a driving license (DL1), this can be obtained from any Post Office.

When you receive your provisional license, check that all the details are correct.

NOW IT IS TIME TO BOOK YOUR LESSONS

On your first lesson you're A.D.I will check you're provisional license, you will also be required to read a number plate (with glasses or corrective lenses if necessary) from 20.5 metres (67 feet) or 20 metres (65 feet) where narrower characters 50mm are displayed.
